Since its founding some 50 years ago, HLT has aligned itself squarely with the aerospace industry, and is proudly recognized as a central contributor in the development and deployment of mission critical rocket engine technology. Helium is a safe (inert) and economical test gas used to infer the leak rates of more volatile (rocket fuel) gases such as oxygen and hydrogen. Safe, precise and proven helium leak test systems and techniques developed at HLT have now become staples in the production of highly volatile rocket fuel systems.
It’s not surprising to know that HLT’s resume includes testing for prominent, demanding and sensitive aerospace programs. Included in these is the US Space Shuttle’s engine ignition system, where testing shuttle components for zero-leak integrity were experienced firsthand. Ignition system valves, fittings, tanks, and sensors have all been certified by HLT technicians utilizing our state of the art equipment. Similarly, high precision leak testing for satellite thruster control valves and nozzles, Delta rocket fuel filters, and large scale space simulation chambers have all been tested by Helium Leak Testing, Inc.
HLT completely understands the importance of ultimate component performance for mission-critical programs. HLT has the right tools and extensive experience that assures component integrity for mission critical and all programs.
